1 Day Instructor-led Course

Blanchard Management Essentials® is delivered in a one-day face-to-face session (six hours, including a 45-minute lunch break and four five- or ten-minute breaks). After the session, participants can access the Blanchard Management Essentials Challenge through the Blanchard Exchange Course Sustainment section, which guides learners through a series of assignments to practice new skills.

Welcome— Learn and do – welcome participants and define some outcomes and behavioral norms for the session

Essential Skills– Teaches managers the four essential skills needed to balance relationships and outcomes.

Four core Conversations— How to apply four fundamental skills in the context of four main conversations: Goal Setting, Praising,
Redirecting, and Wrapping Up.

Closing— Helps managers develop a set of intentions to guide their future behavior.

Virtual Instructor-led Course

Build positive relationships with your leaders in three 2-hour virtual training sessions that teach the fundamentals of the world-renowned One Minute Manager conversations, designed to drive engagement and productivity for productive performance conversations with your team members.

Virtual Session 1: Learning— Helps participants understand the challenges of transitioning from an individual contributor role to a manager role and teaches managers the four essential skills needed to balance relationships and outcomes

Virtual Session 2: Practice— Demonstrates how to apply the four essential conversational skills in the first two management conversations (goal setting and praise).

Virtual Session 3: Practice— Guides participants through practice activities in the third and fourth conversations – Redirecting and Wrapping Up – and prepares them to bring new knowledge and skills back to their professional lives.

After the sessions, participants can access the Blanchard Management Essentials Challenge through the Blanchard Exchange Course Retention section, which guides learners through a series of assignments to practice skills.
